How to launch our chinese flying paper lanterns?
Sky lanterns are not that different from hot air balloons, it is the heated air that makes this chinese lantern fly.
Launching or sky lanterns is not difficult, all it takes is enough hot air inside the balloon. It is obvious that heating the air as shown on the left will not work out, these lanterns are grounded forever! However, the guy on the right either knows his natural sciences or simply did read the attached manual: this is how you do it! One person holds the lantern from the top while the other lights the fuel from below.
Hint: the more of the four angles you will light the sooner the lantern will fly, normally it takes about 90 seconds.
Making our lanterns fly is not that difficult at all!
On the second dicembre of 2010, some time after the shoot of this publicity movie for ENI with our Sky Lanterns, we have received an email from the art director of this spot. Since he is Italian we have translated the content.
Hi guys,
I know the lanterns from the spot we made in Rome for ENI (I am the Art Director) where we have used them. I live in Mallorca in the countryside and have thought to use your lanterns one special evening, for instance New Years Eve, think my 2 year old daughter will like them better than the usual fire crackers. Hope you will send me the same white ones as we used last time
p.s. at below link you can watch the spot of ENI with the lanterns, kind regards, Cesare Daneser> are Daneser>
p.s. op onderstaande link kunnen jullie de film zien die we destijds gedraaid hebben voor ENI met de vliegende lantaarns. Een vriendelijke groet aan jullie allemaal.

The idea is very original, if no island to party we'll make a party. Magnificent detail are the sky lanterns of course that lift off from the island.
Music, dance, Bacardi, Sky lanterns, in short: PARTY.
Some years later we have printed 1000 sky lanterns with the Bacardi logo, unfortunately we have never seen where they have been used for...
